Fnatic at IEM Katowice have managed to defeat Grayhound, avoiding their elimination and continuing the tournament. They defeated them with convincing 2-0.
Grayhound started the fight off by winning the first two rounds on the Counter-Terrorist side. Almost immediately, fnatic blew back and won the first weapon round with Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin getting a double kill. Richard “Xizt” Landström leveled the scores to 2-2 by getting a triple kill in a 2v3 situation.
Xizt continued his usefulness by continuing to line up double kills. The first half ended in their favor with 13-2 score.
Ollie “DickStacy” Tierney ended their streak winning a 1v1 in the second pistol round. Grayhound then picked up two more rounds with the score being 13-5. Grayhound’s 14th round was won by Simon “twist” Eliasson with an AUG triple kill.

fnatic then earned six map points, thanks to an AWP triple kill by twist in the 24th round. Next 2v2 situation was shut down again by twist with a double kill (16-9).
Next map was Overpass where Terrorist Grayhound won the pistol round with DickStacy’s triple kill. There was some pushing back-and-forth and the scores got to 3-2 for fnatic.
In the end, fnatic at IEM Katowice managed to win the battle and eliminate Greyhound. We will be seeing more of the Swedes soon!
