The developers of Fortnite celebrates new year with the players. The celebration began on the morning of December 31 on Christmas Island and in the state of Kiribati.

At this point, all the players participating in the matches, saw a digital scoreboard with a countdown. Then a huge disco ball descended from the sky, and all the characters on the map danced for a few seconds. The celebration ended with a great salute. It is assumed that such a celebration will take place in the game every hour until the new year comes in all time zones.
