The company behind this project, GameWorks, is a large food and entertainment chain. They have announced that they’ll be adding four new Esports lounges across the US. GameWorks Esports lounges have already been launched in Seattle, Denver and Las Vegas.

GameWorks’ four new esports lounge locations with their founding dates:

• Chesapeake, Va. (Norfolk, Virginia Beach) – February 28, 2019

• Schaumburg, Ill. (Chicago) – March 7, 2019

• Minneapolis, Minn./Mall of America – March 14, 2019

• Newport, Ky. (Cincinnati) – March 20, 2019

It is expected that this expansion will bring even more players to local and regional tournaments and contribute to the rapid ascension of Esports.

GameWorks Esports lounges built to date can accommodate up to about 100 people, with 20 to 40 PCs and consoles. Gamers can use these platforms to participate in any of the estimated 200 tournaments held at GameWorks each month. They have also said that the new lounges will be available for private events as well.
