Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer is a French veteran professional CSGO and a former Counter-Strike: Source player. After leaving Vitality, Happy joins LDLC, the team he already played for (and captained) a lot in the past.
Happy in Vitality
Vitality did not accomplish the desired results with the French player last year. After they parted ways, Alex “ALEX” McMeeking took his place to try and achieve better results.
While playing in Vitality, according to his experience, he did have some positive impact on the team. In 2018, he won DreamHack Open Atlanta LAN against Luminosity gaming and qualified for the upcoming Europe Minor. For that victory, he cashed in a $50,000 prize.
However, the kill streak did not last. At least during his time with Vitality, he was unable to achieve other significant results. The decision to bench him came just days after they lost a three-map series against Spirit in StarSeries i-League Season 7 Europe Qualifier final.
Happy was not part of the Vitality team for very long. In fact, he joined only in October 2018. He is not the first guy to leave his team that swiftly though, either – head coach Philippe “faculty” Rodier left after barely one month.
Happy back to LDLC
Now, the French player is back with team LDLC, the team he joined for the first time all the way back in 2013. He and Alex essentially switched their positions, with Alex going from LDLC to Vitality and Happy doing the opposite.
Team LDLC refers to themselves as Happy’s “home”. Considering the time Happy spent playing with them, this may just be the welcome change for both his moral and performance.
As of now, this is how the teams’ rosters look like:
