Your IEM Katowice CSGO Winners are Astralis!

Astralis, a World’s champion team once again pulled a mighty victory. For the first time in a while though, it was not certain whether they are going to pull this off. The game had some fundamental changes to the meta.

Even Danny “zonic” Sørensen, team’s mastermind had his doubts, stating: “Any changes to the game do not benefit us at the moment because we are currently the best team in the world. I haven’t put much thought into that. I’m still working under the same conditions as before the AUG meta.”  Despite everything, we saw Astralis win at IEM Katowice!

With all this in mind, fans were hoping for a competitive match. However, in the very beginning, Astralis started pulling away. ENCE won four consecutive rounds at one point which made things interesting, but did not change them.

In the first map, the weapons of choice of some players were kind of odd. We saw an auto shotgun blasting from the side of ENCE. This did not shake Astralis a lot, as they took the map with a 16-11 score.

The second map was Inferno, which Astralis haven’t lost in a long time. All of the past 14 battles on this map were swept clean by the champion team. This time was no exception, as ENCE simply could not rival them and lost the first 10 rounds straight. Finally, they won one round, but Astralis continued smacking and took the half-time with 14-1. At this point, spirit in team ENCE did not look so good.

Astralis is, hence, the obvious victor, reinforcing the talk of them being the best CS: GO team of all time.
