Interestingly, and rather oddly, KFC, a globally known chicken fast food chain has entered the world of Esports with a KFC CoD Tournament, featuring 16 content creators and will be using the game’s Battle Royale mode, Blackout.

On top of that, KFC is set to enter the Esports scene with their new team, named KFC Gaming, based in the UK.

Considering the Fortnite Battle Royale mode’s massive success, this is a great opportunity for the company to enter the Esports market through such a mode.

Seems as though they’re very serious about this business, aren’t they?

The prize pool offered in this KFC CoD Tournament is comparatively small, but still a hefty sum at £50,000 ($63,700). Additionally, they will be offering a so called KFC Black Card – an exclusive membership card that allows the owner to eat in the restaurants for free.
