LPL 2019 Spring Facts

  • Dates: The tournament is set to start on the 14th of January and is supposed to end 2 and a half months later on the 31st of March. This is when the spring break happens and teams can relax for a bit.
  • Teams: There are 16 teams involved in this tournament. Some of the better-known ones are EDG, IG, LGD Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, Team WE, and Vici Gaming.
  • Prize Pool: The prize pool is at this point unknown.
  • Format: This bit of LPL 2019 tournament info is valuable in helping you prepare for the games in advance (because there are a lot of them). LPL 2019 Spring features a single round robin format where each team plays every other team once (so 15 matches for one team throughout this part of the LPL season). All matches are Bo3.

What makes this year’s tournament interesting is that IG is looking to completely dominate the league. They won Worlds’ last year and seem unstoppable at the moment. China is looking exceptionally strong this year with the likes of IG, Royal Never Give Up, EDward Gaming, and others.

All signs point to IG doing well but hey, you never know with the Asian scene!
