FaZe and CompLexity recently had a face-off at IEM Katowice 2019. FaZe’s performance was really rocky at the first three rounds. With NiKo’s valuable input, they only barely stayed in the competition with a 2-1 series victory.

The battle started off on Cache. It did not take off well for the now-winning team, as they struggled in every aspect of the game. Their coordination was all over the place and that resulted in a lot of duels lost. This let CompLexity have a 16-8 win. With every CompLexity player getting between 15 and 18 kills, it looked like things were not looking good for Faze.

However, on Mirage, things started turning around. This is when the Bosnian player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač showed what he was capable of. With his play, FaZe almost looked like a completely different team.

In game one, the result was 10-17, and after that NiKo pushed the scoreboard to 22-19. This meant FaZe won with a 16-11 score.

The deciding map was the famous Dust2. As this was the final decider for both of the teams, fueled with very tight competition, this was one of the most intense games on the tournament. The battle went back-and-forth, with a good opening to the second half in FaZe’s favor. CompLexity came close to a victory, but once again, NiKo did not let them triumph. He performed another series of great play and gave Faze a 16-14 victory.
