On Wednesday, January 16, Blizzard Entertainment announced three new live events of Overwatch Contenders. The events will take place around the globe in 2019. What about the format of the new Overwatch Contenders’ events?
The Pacific Showdown will cover four regions: China, Australia, Korea, and the Pacific region. In addition, the top teams will face each other in the double elimination bracket. The matches will be played in China from May 24 to 26.

The Atlantic Showdown will include three regions: Europe, North America, and South America. The matches will take place from May 31 to June 2.
Finally, the top teams from the above mentioned Showdown will compete in The Gauntlet which will take place from October 10 to 13.
