Riot Games’ New Games – Pandora’s Box of Games!

When teams take down elemental drakes, one element will ultimately dominate the rift permanently altering the map. Then we have the coming of Senna, new LoL champion, which a lot of League fans are already excited about. She will make her debut as a playable champion and the first support marksman so players should be wary of using her as an AD carry.
Senna and URF
Senna comes into the game after being released by her husband, Lucian, from Thresh’s lantern. Not much is known about her for now. However, by the 11th of November, Senna will be ready for battle.
There is going to be the return of the Leagues memorable game mode, Ultra Rapid Fire (URF for short), on October 28th. It will include full champion select and will last till early November.
Teamfight Tactics Mobile

Teamfight Tactics is League of Legends’ latest game mode already released in July for PC. However, Riot will be making this game mode available for mobile users granting the wishes of many in the gaming community.
Teamfight Tactics Mobile drops in early 2020 on Android and IOS. It is a round-based strategy game that pits a person against seven opponents to build a strong team made up of League of Legends champions that will fight for you to be the last person alive.

This has been a community request for some time. And they delivered! League of Legends: Wild rift is a separate game and will not contain every champion or skin. Beta’s are set to be released in the months to come and full release by the end of 2020.
Riot Games’ Project A
As if all these Riot Games’ new games do not already have the community buzzing, Riot announced Project A. Project A is a new tactical first-person shooter game for PC. The developer described Project A as “a stylish competitive character-based tactical shooter game.” The game will not be set in the League of Legends Universe.
From the sneak peek shown by Riot, Project A seems to combine some elements of games like Overwatch and Counter Strike but with a far different setting from these games. More details on Project A will be released later next year, with the date of release yet unknown.
In the video released by Riot, there was also a teaser of a massive multiplayer online game with the code name Project F. Unlike other games that the game developers brushed on, not a word is said about Project F. From the video it looks like a multiplayer dungeon crawler game.
In an email to Polygon, Riot described Project F as “a project that explores the possibilities of traversing the world of Runeterra with your friends.” The release date for Project F is not yet known, considering that not much is said about it. It could mean that the game is still in its early stages and would not be released any time soon.
Riot Games’ new games don’t only have Project A and F but also Project L. During the live stream, Riot showed some glimpses of the fighting game in its early development stage with some LOL champions like Darius and Katarina fighting in 2D environments.
When speaking about Project L, Riot said ” The fighting game will show Runeterran champions in a new light,” . Riot also stated that they still had a long way to go with its development, but it has been in the works for some time now.

This simulation game will be released first in the LPL in 2020. The intention is to gradually expand and include players from other regions. Riot plans on giving a portion of the revenue from LoL Esports Manager to pro teams featured in the game in a bid to allow the sport as a whole share in the success.
Enough with Riot Games’ New Games – Here’s the Social Impact Fund
In an attempt to give back to the society, Riot Games also announced its most significant step in social impact so far. The Social Impact Fund. Riot Games’ Social Impact Fund is an independent entity separate from Riot Games and structured in a way that all funds must be used to pursue social impacts in specified areas of focus. It will allow Riot to be more strategic in investments and partnerships. They aim to have a wider variety of organizations in pursuit of accelerating positive social change.
Riot Games’ Arcane
Riot has also decided to grant more wishes by creating an animated series called ‘Arcane.’ Even though a lot of fans were hoping for an anime based on League of Legends, this still receives a thumbs up from the League community. In addition to all these, League of Legends fans can watch the LoL documentary on Netflix! The one hour plus film details the rocky start of League and its success later on. The documentary is titled ‘League of Legends Origins’ .
The aim of the documentary is showing the stark difference in the games’ beginning and the current period.
Riot Games’ New Games – Where from Here?
The League of Legends 10th anniversary is not just about LoL for Riot; it is about capitalization in the gaming industry at the right moment. At a time where gaming companies like Blizzard are coming under a lot of crossfire, it’s easy pickins. Riot comes in, steps up and announces not just one but multiple genres of games to directly rival other games already out there. All the while stating they will deliver not only in graphics and gameplay, but also in sieving hackers from gamers which a lot of games have continuously failed to do.
For each game Riot has in the works, there seems to be an objective in rivaling other games. Legends of Runeterra is a direct rival to Blizzard’s Hearthstone. Its Project F could match games like Diablo and World of Warcraft. During the 10th anniversary stream, Riot announced itself as a cross-genre empire builder looking to dethrone Blizzard. Come to think of it, they might just pull it off.
Over the years, Riot Games had only one game (with some small additions). That one game was League of Legends. Immensely popular; loads of fun; plenty of success. And now they’ve released 5+ games and some other cool stuff. Riot Games went from being a meme to creating an empire – all in one fell swoop.
