We start the New Year with a bang. One of the biggest ‘Minor’ tournaments in Dota 2, The Bucharest Minor 2019 is the second minor of this season. PGL will be hosting this tournament for the first time under their name with a pretty sweet $300,000 prize pool. Here’s what you should know about it:
The Bucharest Minor 2019 will be held from 9th to 13th January this year. The winner doesn’t just get part of the prize pool but also qualification for the Chongqing Major (teams will have even more to look out for). Oh, 500 DPC points are also up for grabs (with the winner getting 120).
We’ll be seeing 8 teams battle it out: OG, Ninjas in Pyjamas, TEAM TEAM, Playmakers Esports, Gambit Esports, BOOM ID, Keen Gaming, and EHOME. Some of these names are well-known to Dota 2 fans and players alike!
Unfortunately, we don’t know what format the tournament will feature but will update this section as soon as more info is revealed.
The Bucharest Minor 2019 also raises some interesting prospects in terms of eSports betting. Esports fans will surely enjoy this minor-tier tournament (that feels like a major-tier one but what do we know, right?) and it might even cause some of them to start a career in playing eSports – who knows?
