Tom Clancy’s The Division is an action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game is available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and was released on March 8, 2016. However, one of the biggest problems of the game right now is The Division cheating.

Since it was released, cheating has been a big issue in Tom Clancy’s The Division community. Players often gain an unfair advantages by using third-party and other The Division cheating software. Ubisoft has been receiving an ever increasing amount of complaints about cheating, so they had to resort to drastic measures.

As a result, Ubisoft has announced it will be punishing cheaters by banning them permanently from the game instantly, first-time offenders or not.

Previous anti-cheat policy was a fourteen day ban from the game, but this has proven to be ineffective.

They have stated: “Judging from your feedback, and based on what we witnessed when cheaters came back to the game, we have now decided to push our policy one step further.“

Prior to this, Ubisoft has attempted to improve the cheat detection system hoping it would mitigate the problem. This resulted in 3800 permanent bans alone, but this will increase once the new policy is applied.
