Windows Vista And XP Won’t Run Steam

The time has finally come. Bad news for Windows users. Now Windows Vista and XP won’t run Steam on your PC. The Steam client no longer supports Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. The number of Steam users on these operating systems fell below 1%. Earlier, Riot Games announced that since May 2019, League of Legends will also not work on XP and Vista.

Valve explained that the new Steam features rely on the embedded version of Google Chrome, and the browser itself no longer works on the specified versions of Windows.

Microsoft discontinued support for Windows XP in April 2014, and Windows Vista in 2017. Since January 1, Avast, the creator of the antivirus, has also refused to work on these operating systems.
